COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The governing board of each institution of higher education, including each college district, shall establish faculty compensation policies that, to the greatest extent possible, provide the faculty with an average salary and benefits at least equal to the average of that provided by similar institutions nationwide having a similar role and

mission.

The Coordinating Board shall include information relating to national average salary and benefits and shall correlate that information to Texas schools having similar roles and missions, in the master plan for higher education and in the appropriate reports to the legislature.
